Every chair in your schedule is already spoken for.
Production is booked against chairs, not against hours. When the practice management system stops at ten past eight you don’t lose an hour — you lose the column, and the afternoon was full before anyone arrived. We run the systems that decide whether a chair is working.
Dental fails at the sensor, not the server
General IT firms support the front desk and treat the operatory as somebody else’s problem. The operatory is where the day is lost.
- Sensors and scanners
- Intraoral sensors and scanners are bound to one machine and one driver. The operatory that works and the one that doesn’t are a driver apart, and the assistant who moved a patient across the hall is the one who finds out.
- Pan and CBCT
- These are computers with a yoke on them, each running an operating system nobody has patched since commissioning, usually on the same flat network as your records. We separate them, keep them supported, and deal with the imaging vendor so your team doesn’t.
- The bridge to the chart
- Images have to land in the right patient’s chart. When that bridge breaks nothing looks broken — the capture succeeds, the chart stays empty, and you find out at the next recall.
- Practice management
- Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, Dentrix Ascend, Cloud 9. We support what you run rather than telling you to replace it, and we hold your vendors to their own support agreements.
- Compliance
- HIPAA access control, monitoring, email protection and documentation, with a Business Associate Agreement executed as a matter of course. When a records request or an audit arrives, the documentation already exists.
- Response times
- Critical issues within two hours, high priority within four, standard by the next business day — written into the agreement rather than promised on a call.
Cloud moves the risk to the circuit
Moving to Denticon, Dentrix Ascend or Cloud 9 stops the closet being your single point of failure. It makes the line at the door one instead, and that trade only works if somebody plans for it.
- A real circuit per site
- A business circuit at each practice with a second path that has actually been tested by failing the first — not a consumer line nobody has ever pulled.
- Imaging stays local
- The chart goes up and the imaging stays down. That split is where the post-migration complaints live, and it is the part most migrations leave to chance.
- A planned cutover
- Sequenced per practice, with the old system reachable until the new one has been proven. Production doesn’t stop for a migration.
Practice 24 arrives with practice 1’s network
A change of ownership is the moment everything technical comes loose. On day one, the things your team needs are usually still tied to the people who sold the practice to you.
Email, files and logins sit in an account the seller still controls, and often still pays for.
Licenses are registered to the practice that sold them — sometimes to a person who left before closing.
Network equipment is configured with passwords that left with the last IT company.
A de novo has the opposite problem: the build date is fixed, and cabling and circuits have the longest lead time in the room.
Two shapes, one structure
Some groups hand us the whole function. Others have someone internal who is good and outnumbered, and bring us in alongside them.
- We are the IT department
- Help desk, endpoints, servers, imaging, network, patching, backup verification and vendor management, with after-hours and weekend coverage available. One firm accountable for all of it.
- We work alongside yours
- You keep your team and the relationships they have. We carry the hours, the after-hours and weekend coverage, and the practices they cannot reach, without taking the function away from them.
The structure is the same either way: a flat monthly fee per person supported. The rate reflects how much of the function you are handing over. A one-time onboarding fee is quoted alongside it, and we visit each practice during onboarding.
We work to lower what you spend
A year, found at one client. Cut once, it stays cut — that’s recurring, not a one-time win.
You buy your software licenses directly from the vendor rather than through us, so we take no margin on them. We are paid to shrink that bill rather than grow it. And because the fee is per seat, it moves when your headcount moves — not when a practice adds a system.
